OB

OB

I have FIVE children, shouldn't OB have been easy? Nevertheless, I found the class difficult. You automatically have two patients, after all. There's a lot to learn. I found when reviewing for the NCLEX, I did not know my STDs, I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. But some subjects with lots of information are glossed over and it's up to you to learn them.

The clinical is very different from other clinicals. There is not much hands-on stuff you can do. You have to take advantage of other opportunities, go to c-sections, go to classes offered in the hospital, use spare time to study, I spent a lot of time talking to my instruction on her experiences with nursing. A huge part of nursing is teaching, see how the hospital approaches teaching.
